Hazardous-area options · ATEX and IECEx variants available
Identification and condition sensing for classified environments.
The ip³Things hazardous-area sensor family includes BLE edge options for asset identification and proximity/location workflows, plus temperature, humidity, movement and magnet or door-state workflows. ATEX and IECEx variants are available. A compatible BLE-capable ip³Things tracker or BLE-enabled ip³Gateway carries data into the network and platform.
Certification is model and variant specific. Hazardous-area equipment must be selected for the specific site classification, jurisdiction and approved installation; ATEX and IECEx do not automatically establish U.S. Class/Division or NRTL approval.

An EN12830-certified BLE temperature-sensor variant is available for food, pharmaceutical and refrigerated logistics applications: 0.5 °C accuracy class from -20 °C to +60 °C, calibration in an ISO 17025-certified laboratory, IP67 enclosure, internal temperature history up to 345 days and a food-contact compliant enclosure for relevant food applications.
These claims apply to the EN12830 variant only. EN12830 is a cold-chain temperature-recording standard, not a hazardous-area certification.
